Urgent question regarding networking

Hello all-- Yesterday I met with an MD informally over a coffee near his hotel. It was a great chat and he was really nice. I am studying right now, but he offered to ask if anyone could use a part time intern, he told me to send him cv.. I sent CV next day, he said he had forwarded it to a couple of people and that it is now up to them to act. He also gave me their names.

Should I follow up directly with the people he forwarded it to by calling them? Or email? How long should I wait to hear any feedback?

Thx

I wouldn't assume that, people are funny about referring you to people. I would still confirm that it's ok for you to contact them directly.

Monday would be way too soon. wait 2 weeks from the date the MD told you he sent it around and it's up to them.

Well I actually already asked the MD that... I asked if I could contact them if I don't hear back after a while. he responded, " the ball is rolling, hold off for a bit"

What does that mean? Does it mean that I can contact on my own or do I have to ask him first?

You're a complete idiot and deserve no one's help. He's being incredibly helpful and you're about to blow it.

Not urgent really is it....
