(Urgent) Reference letter template (Asked to provide references - UK An3)

As per the title - I am currently interviewing with a bank for a lateral position and need to provide 2 references. My referees are already sorted however I am under time pressure to get them to provide a signed letter.

Hence, the way I was looking to expedite this was to send my referees a pre-written reference letter for them to edit and sign.

However, I have no clue where to start. After going through threads on WSO, none include any templates and as such, I was wondering whether anyone had a good template to share for reference letters?

Thanks in advance + Feel free to PM.

That’s really odd. Normally, formal references are really an HR matter, confirming that you have worked at the firm in the position you put in your resume and during the right dates.

Everyone shies away from giving formal feedback on a candidate for obvious reasons (but people will ask if they know there are mutual acquaintances).

Maybe try to clarify with your target firm what they are looking for?
