Using B School to break into Finance for military applicant
I'm a MBA applicant coming from a military background with no finance experience. Is there any significant difference as far as the top 5 B schools go for helping me break into IB or another finance career?
I should also mention that I have no finance related degrees up to this point. However, I do have leadership experience from being an officer and I have been deployed to a combat zone.
Not a significant difference IMO if you're at a top 5 bchool, opportunities for campus IBD recruiting will be very solid and you'll have lots of help from the service networks.
Read through this thread, a lot of relevant info to your situation.

Thanks for the link to the thread. I have one more question, which is how essential is it to have prior finance experience or an undergrad degree in a quantitative field to break into finance in my situation? (prior military, planning to get an MBA)
Not essential
