UVA vs Warwick
I also got accepted to Durham, Rice, and Amherst, though I think I'm mainly choosing between UVA (accepted to the engineering school but could probably change) and Warwick (BSc Econ). How does IB placement compare for these schools? Additionally, how do factors such as compensation, work, and exit opportunities compare between London and NYC IB? Much appreciated.
I recommend to check this thread - gave a lot of infos on UK vs US Schools: https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/lse-vs-nyu-stern#comment-1837977
I would give Amherst a second thought. Great school and very loyal alumni that helps place into IB. Not so easy to dismiss as you have. UVA is great but Rice places well in Texas. Whats Durham ?
Amherst and Rice are considerably more expensive for me than UVA, Warwick, and Durham (all about the same) and I am not sure that they are worth the extra money. Durham is a semi-target (I think) in the UK. It's ranked about 7th for economics and and 6th overall nationally.
this is 4 years of your life - think about yourself and decide UK vs US before taking into account what internet strangers think
