Starting a new job, but had a previously planned vacation. Would this be alright / what are the implications.

What did they say when you told them? If they said it didn't matter then it should be fine.
They told me it should be fine (but I cannot miss any trainings, although can do trainings virtually that week). Don't think it'll be an issue
I ran into the same issue when I first joined. As long as you clearly communicated you have a planned vacation, it shouldn’t be an issue. Just nicely remind the team as it gets closer. Enjoy!
