Is there something decent on valuation of financial institutions. All of the stuff is for corporates. I am interested in detailed info on Modeling for Financial Institutions. If someone can give pointers. I'd also be interested to see a proper valuation model for a financial institution (its fine if it is outdated, unknown or even a fantasy institution).

It depends on what type of institution - a bank is different than an insurance co in terms of how it works and therefore how it is modelled (though both done with a DDM) and then there are asset managers which are valued with a regular DCF.
Just fyi there's very little educational material on actual modelling of financial institutions and I've only seen stuff made by people at one or two banks for internal distribution.
