Walk me through a transaction - Any limits?

If I'm interviewing at a bank for a generalist role and they have a restructuring group, would it be ok to use a restructuring transaction as an example to walk them through? And should I have another transactions (M&A, capital raise, etc.) as a backup just in case the person doesn't do restructuring or doesn't want to hear about it?

Don’t think it really matters what the transaction is as much as what your role in it was. A lot of the skills across different groups and products are transferable, they just want to know you’re able to do the analytical work, familiar with the process, work well with internal and external stakeholders etc.

I’ve always prepared 3 examples just in case, basically matched the list in my CV. I think you can just about get away with 2 but definitely know the deals well and use your common sense when it comes to private info.
