Weekend ideas

What do you typically do on the weekends for fun? I feel like I am not exploring the city enough and not taking full advantage. Normally I just catch up on sleep, read, watch tv, go for runs, hang out with the SO and go out to eat / a bar once or twice, but that's about it. Looking to spice things up and try new things. Any recs are appreciated!

Something I love to do is just get on the train to a random stop and get off. Spend 20 mins walking around then do the same. Sounds dull as fuck but I get a kick out of the adventure, and seeing random places, meeting random people.

I used to do something similar - pick a city neighborhood that I haven't been to in a while and just spend a couple hours walking around, going into stores, seeing open houses, etc. I think I started doing this after realizing I hadn't seen most of my city in the daytime as usually going to different areas was a result of meeting people for dinner/drinks/going out.
