Wells Fargo Disappoints Again
Associates getting paid like 2nd year analysts and half of what peers are receiving. And 25-30% deferred comp over four years?? Get out and avoid at all costs.

Saw a VP3 with 700k comp tho lol.
Likely sucked someone off
What did associates get?
tell me a notable m&a / ipo that WF closed in 2021 lol -- thats why
Are you kidding me? Did you not see that Wells narrowly edged out Loop Capital for 3rd line passive?
Huge win for the whole franchise
I know ASO1s that were 100% (or slightly above) of base, so $350K+ all-in. I know some under-performers that got shafted - sounds like you need to step your game up.
I’m a VP1 in coverage and got $750K all-in. I’m not disappointed.
Congrats to you. But let’s be clear. You are in FIG and your group likely brought in more revenue than most other coverage groups combined so you may be the outlier.
Is fig the best group at wells?
Was 100% top or middle bucket?
Do you have more info on the bonus range for associates?
Heard some good to decent performers got really nice numbers. They shafted the lower end so maybe you just gotta step it up a lil or leave
Okay intern
Any numbers for CB?
Wells will continue to do this. CLT is low COL city and many bankers there won’t leave the area ever so they don’t complain about bonus. And NY/ SF bankers will continue to lateral.
Friend at WF seemed relatively pleased and said the consensus among coworkers there was that bonuses were good. They didn’t knock it out of the park like some banks but if you were putting in work, you got paid.
Anyone know what associate 1s and 2s got paid in TMT in NYC/SF? I keep getting emails that they’re still hiring.
Heard assoc 1 in the $120 - $150k range with 30% deferred
Deferred over what vesting schedule?
$130k seems low doesn’t it, considering the year we’ve had?
More details please?
Any bonuses for Healthcare in NYC? How strong is their program?
I was there a few years back and I think HC was one of the lower fee generators. Disclaimer: I wasn’t in HC
How does that translate to EOY bonus?
It sounds like top performers had no issues with comp no?
Wells Fargo - product group
promotion to director
salary increased from $250 to $300k
$450k bonus ($315 in cash)
$700k all in
Deferred comp is now all stock
Reading through this and it really doesn’t seem that bad, am I missing something? Was bottom bucket bad? Can’t compre to GS etc and bonuses still seem 100%+ which isn’t something to be upset over at a non “EB”
These numbers seem good for WF, I mean they're not EB numbers but they're good.
