Hi guys, I have an interview coming up with Well Fargo's E&P group in Houston and was curious to hear your thoughts in terms of exit opps, deal flow, etc.

Big lender to the space but less M&A deal flow. Occasionally get some M&A mandates due to their lending relationships and ability to provide financing. Due to that though, means lots of internal memos as said above
lost two first year analysts and six associates in ~two months
As said above, overwhelmingly pitches and internal memos. Energy dealflow is down and there just isn’t enough m&a to feed everyone, so it mostly goes to the top groups
Some good seniors to work for, some extremely toxic
Digital facetime heavy (culture of paying attention to the chat status and expecting anyone working to be green)
if you aren’t in IB and want to be, great move. If you’re in IB and looking to lateral... don’t.
mostly second year associates, mostly other banks
also a few more first year analysts left. Brings the total to something like 6 associates, 5 first year analysts gone in like three months

Bad rep, bad pay, even worse exits.
