Alright, Wells doesn't have IB (maybe a regional office but not for interns or as a major office) in Minneapolis. They have Charlotte, SF, NYC, LA, and Houston. They are growing the NYC office but Charlotte is still the IB HQ. Here is an accurate group breakdown by location.
Awesome thank you. I applied to tech IB for 2019 FT, yet my first round is with an Associate in Real Estate IB based in Charlotte. Any idea on why?
I have no real idea why so take what i say with a grain of salt. It could be a initial phone screen that is just testing you're basic finance/IB knowledge to see if you're basically skilled enough to move to tech specific interviews.

Nope, half in NYC, half in CLT. To my knowledge no IB, other than a small regional IB office, in Chicago
