Hi everyone,
I have a question on the lifestyle of an associate at WFS specifically in Charlotte. Can you speak to what compensation is like, what the hours are like and any other overall thoughts such as what industry groups tend to be better than others? Also, would there be a noticeable difference in lifestyle for an associate at WFS rather than an analyst (other than comp)?

I have heard it is a sweatshop. Comp is in line with street and should be the only real difference in work/life balance between an analyst and associate.
Thanks for the response. When you say sweatshop - is that for all groups? Charlotte and NYC? How many hours per week are we talking here?
Charlotte and NYC hours should be comparable (generally for all groups) around 80-90 hrs per week. If you are at all concerned about work/life balance for the next 3 years, then you really shouldn't be looking at IB associate positions at BB or larger MM banks.
FYI - I know people who work at WFS in Charlotte.
