PWP seems like a no brainer to me...
PWP
PWP has top notch deal flow and good exit opportunities to PE. Seems like a no brainer that you should pick PWP.
PWP is famous for trying to keep junior bankers and not giving them any firm support to move to the buyside... OP, I reccomend doing your own research on this fact.
I know a few people that have gone to MF and top MM from PWP. The exit opps are top notch.
Wells Fargo is ok
PWP talks about buyside exit opps in campus info sessions in last 2 years- that is an old perception about lack of buyside exit opps since want career bankers. The information your trying to contradict is actually right. Small firms swiftly change. When a boutique is small they need trained juniors. Once they can have dedicated analyst classes they become more open to buyside recruiting and in fact support it in order to attract better analyst classes. This is precisely what happened to PWP as many other boutiques
