West Coast IB salaries vs East Coast IB Salaries

I was wondering by how much the salaries of East Coast and West Coast Investment Bankers differ by, assuming the individuals in comparison are at the same level in their careers.

I want to say the same, but I've always felt that a top NYC Analyst would beat out a top CA Analyst by a few thousand. I don't know why I feel that way, maybe it's not true. Bigger deals in NY offices, but also more people.

Nevertheless, it's small enough of a difference that it shouldn't be a factor in choosing where to work.
