West Coast IB: When do you get into the office?
I’m joining the west coast based group of a bank and I am curious about what to expect.
I did my SA at a bank in NYC and people regularly rolled in at 9:30-10AM which I doubt would be possible to get into the office at 9:30AM local time west coast. I can’t imagine NY based clients would be thrilled if their west coast based banker wasn’t available until the afternoon.
Do people get into the office earlier or log on from home early and still get into the office around 9?
9:20-30 PST. When did you think we'd come in? Around noon?
From the wording, sounds like he thought you guys might get in at 5:30 am to cater to east coast clients (instead of getting in at 9:30 PST/12:30 am EST) but I’ve never heard of a bank doing that besides Drexel back in the day
