What are Analyst bonuses going to be like this year?
Any predictions? Volatility has killed a lot of deals... Will we be significantly down from last year?

Bump.
Curious as well
Since money this year is a reflection of last year, they should be very good. I’d expect next year’s bonuses to be down.
Interesting take. I think it's a reflection of LTM before bonuses in mid 2022. Back end 2021 was good but first half 2022 is poor so expecting to be down from last year.
Disagree on the LTM - where did you hear that? Also, if Associate bonuses were good (which where paid in March), then they can’t fuck the Analysts.
No where near last years’ levels
Definitely will be down compared to 2021, but banks cannot drop them by a large amount and they know this. Most banks are still struggling to fill vacant junior positions and will lose their existing juniors/mid-level people if their pay is x% lower than comparable banks.
Not a new trend or anything in this industry…
Yeah I was thinking that banks are in a bit of a predicament. Definitely can't be as high as deal flow has dropped but can't screw analysts because of mass exit from the industry. Will be interesting to see what they do.
I'll be fuckin pissed if bonuses are way lower, though I won't be surprised. My walk-away point is 15 grand less than mid-bucket for last year.
There is nothing good about this job other than the (alleged) money.
Same I better get paid...
What are normal bonuses for mid, top, and bottom bucket? First year analyst here just trting to get an idea of what is normal. Obviously depends on group performance too but just on average.
