What are good internships to do for freshman summer?
Hey everyone, I go to a non-target school, but not a typical non-target per se (Rutgers). I wanted to make myself as competitive as possible for recruiting timelines in the future for FO IB and was wondering on what sort of internships a freshman in college could do in their summer following their first year. Obviously, I know a Rutgers student is not getting anything too special but was more so asking what sectors in finance to look at for interning.
Some fields I have already researched that are within reach of freshmen seem to be wealth management, etc. Is there something better than WM a freshman could do, and does WM itself give a good look on a resume? More specifically, I was looking at a local Merrill Lynch branch.
Any advice is appreciated, thanks!
