What are IB M&A salaries like in Austria?

I'm currently an M&A intern at a boutique IB in Austria, earning a pretty sh*tty wage (~1600 euros a month) and working around 50-60 hours a week. I'm curious whether this gets better later on, as I keep hearing these 100k salaries in the UK and the US.

Thanks

Wow. The "incoming cfa level 1 chartholder" title adds a little spice to your douchebaggery too.

What I meant was that I keep hearing about these 100k starting salaries in the US and the UK, while in Austria I'm getting a 1600 euro monthly salary (no bonuses ofc for interns). I was asking about Austrian M&A salaries because I would be surprised if an Associate at my firm earned even 70k based off of intern salaries.

Just to clarify for others: I'm not in a back-office, I'm an M&A intern.

Servas! Great to see a fellow Austrian here.

Never worked in AT myself but I'm not sure about salary progression.

Many reputable shops (i.e. BB/EB/strong MMs) cover Austria out of Frankfurt.

IICR their Frankfurt salaries range from EUR75k to +100k all-in. Austria should be a notch below IMO (think 10-20%). Big 4s though are notorious for their extremely low pay in Austria.

Hope that helps!
