i signed with a bank in CA for 2021 but the salary is prorated A1, says nothing about OT. Isn't paying OT a law in CA? Kinda confused why the offer letter don't say anything about it then, or if it's meant to be implied?

if you’re a regular employee then no but at-will employees are usually hourly. know people on both sides of the coin, basically it comes down to how you’re classified and the contract is structured lol

honesty seen some good spots only pay 20-30/hr with high work hour expectations and somehow people pull down 20-30k over 10 weeks with that double OT. If the hourly was higher they’d be paying 50-70k which I can’t believe some banks do lmao. Think it’d be easier to spend 100k structuring and classifying employees a safe way legally than pay millions extra every year for no reason. Hope they don’t stop though, just weird.

Why are you doing this to me?

Will update my computer soon and leave Incognito so I will disappear forever. How did I achieve Neanderthal by trolling? Some people are after me so need to close account for safety.

OT was in my offer but I think the bank is trying to make sure that we interns don’t work enough hours to qualify lol.

Same but aren’t they ripping us off coz with the new salary we get paid less overall than if we did the 10 weeks with 47k

BB - $41 per hour, 1.5x overtime (we’ll see if we have any OT this summer), I think we’re getting paid for all 10 weeks despite a 5 week program
