What are some major financing alternatives for private company and a listed company, what are considerations, especially for listed companies?

Hi guys! What are some major financing alternatives for private company and a listed company, what are considerations, especially for listed companies? I Googled it but still cannot get  a complete picture... Is that for listed companies, major financing alternatives are issuing equity and debts, and the key considerations are whether or not issue to many shares will dilute company's value, and issuing too many debt will have high leverage which is risky? Thanks a lot!
