I am only a first year college student and would like to learn about some basics in the M&A field of Investment Banking.

Capt Needs Help - Intro to M&A (Originally Posted: 10/05/2010)
WSO - I need your help.
A friend called in a favor and asked that I present to a group of about 20 college students on the M&A process from a sell-side perspective tomorrow. Basically I need to do a high level run through of the big milestones in the auction process (CIM out, IOIs, management presentations, first round of bids, second round of bids, LOI, final diligence, closed). I could easily wing this verbally, but I'd like to have some presentation materials to put up in front of these kids. I'm totally slammed with actual work tonight, so I thought I'd ask you WSO - has anyone done a presentation like this before that could share a slide deck?
