What day do summer associate positions usually start?

Next summer I'll hopefully be able to land a summer associate role before graduating in 2016 with my MBA. The only downside to the work part, is the upside to my personal life as I'll be getting married in the end of May with a honeymoon following and taking a week off prior to the wedding to finalize everything since I'm planning the wedding from out of state.

So I was just wondering what days do the summer associate positions usually start on? Will my wedding plans likely mess everything up with that or would the company be fairly understanding?

Not sure about start dates, but there was a thread about delaying the start of an SA program earlier. The prevailing majority said that HR is pretty rigid in regards to start and end dates, and even if you manage to get a one week delay, you would be at a significant disadvantage to other SA's and your chances of getting an FT offer will be compromised.

I followed that thread which is why I was asking. I haven't put a deposit down so a date isn't set in stone yet, but if it started the second week of June, I could do all the festivities and not miss a day of work.

That would be best. Hopefully that's how it works out for me.

Are summer associates and analysts usually starting on the same day or do they stagger it a little bit?

Usually early to mid June. there are a few schools that don't end their quarter until first week of June, so typically start dates are after that.
