What does a job listed as ''Analyst/Associate'' mean?
Hi,
I'm based in the UK and a recent graduate. I'm coming acros jobs listed as 'Analyst/Associate', what does level do they mean by this? Normally, the jobs for my level say just 'Analyst' but I've seen a couple with this /Associate added, does it mean they are looking for more experienced Analysts or Associates? Any insight is greatly appreciated.
Either means they are flexible (Analyst or Associate) or they are hiring more than one. Usually the former.
Would a fresh grad (with relevant internship exp) usually stand a chance in these candidate pools?
Sometimes means that they either want a senior analyst or a fresh associate. Applied to one of those even though I only had internships on my belt and they still took me in for an ANL 1 position, so worth a try.
Gives me some hope, thank you!
No worries but would focus on graduate roles if I were you.
Unfortunately I missed the previous graduate recruitment cycle due to a pretty bad injury. I was hoping to apply to postings like this instead :/
There are always some random new ones popping up, would also suggest reaching out to HHs
I echo this. Reach out to someone at Dartmouth Partners. They have loads of off-cycle & grad mandates (that they don’t publicly advertise) in both buy-side/ sell-side. It won’t be BB, but a great stepping stone.
