I would recommend you search the mergers and inquisitions website for their articles featuring both CV and cover letter templates. These are the two key components of any IB application. After you've done this, come back to WSO and check for any additional tips by searching for cover letter and CV related discussions.
The other thing I would say is to keep both short - i.e. your CV should not exceed 1 page and your cover letter as well could be two-thirds of a page (not a rule, but may be looked on favourably).
