What GPA to put?
I'm a current sophomore double majoring in Computer Science and Business. I was looking at the Mergers and Inquisitions resume guide, and I'm conflicted about what GPA to put on my resume. Any advice?
The following are my GPAs:
-
Cumulative: 3.38/4.0
-
CS Major GPA: 2.9/4.0
-
Business Major GPA: 3.57/4.0
-
Sophomore (Fall only) GPA: 3.51/4.0
I would use cumulative and round to a 3.4. Make sure you put your double major and just try to speak to lower grades in CS classes. If it makes you feel more comfortable you can put your business major gpa as well and round to a 3.6
what if I only include the business GPA? like
School
Biz Degree -- Major GPA 3.6/4/0
CS Degree
Test Scores ...
I would have to see what is looks like, but it seems like 4 lines would be a lot to convey that info. I feel like your majors should fall on one line. Trust your gut though. Get some resume feedback from a mentor or some of your friends.
I put professional gpa on mine and had no one question it. (~3.75 vs 3.5)
what's the difference between professional and major GPA? And would it look bad if I only include one major's GPA
