My internship ends next week and I’m starting to have my doubts about if there’s a spot for me to come back. So what the fuck do I do now? For anyone who didn’t get a return offer after their internship (or knows someone who didn’t) how did that turn out? Is IB out of the picture until MBA? Did you downgrade shops? You would just apply to other shops. Not the end of the world. If you dont get a return just ask why and try to fix these areas, dont be bitter, dont burn your bridge because this industry is not big enough. You still have exp where 99% of students dont.

Current SA at Top BB. My BB overhired this summer (SA class double previous SA classes) and, given the lower deal flow, HR has clearly indicated a considerable portion of the SA class won’t be given returns.
