what happens if you don’t get a return offer

My internship ends next week and I’m starting to have my doubts about if there’s a spot for me to come back. So what the fuck do I do now? For anyone who didn’t get a return offer after their internship (or knows someone who didn’t) how did that turn out? Is IB out of the picture until MBA? Did you downgrade shops? Do something else completely? Kinda shitting myself rn and don’t know how to proceed. Thanks

Current SA at Top BB. My BB overhired this summer (SA class double previous SA classes) and, given the lower deal flow, HR has clearly indicated a considerable portion of the SA class won’t be given returns.

Did u work at a shit bank that happen to give high returns?

Keep me updated man was worried about the same thing a couple weeks ago but now I'm just gonna accept whatever happens. It's not the end of the world at the end of the day even if it seems like it is
