What happens to your personal stock/ETF holdings when you start working in IB full time?

^ trying to figure out if you need to liquidate holdings when you start working in IB. More specifically, I’m an international student and I’m curious is anyone has an idea of how banks treat brokerage accounts held abroad? Do you think I will be able to maintain them (in accordance with the compliance trading policy of course) or will they need to be liquidated?
