What happens when a MD leaves during a deal?
Just out of curiosity, what happens when a MD leaves when there is an active deal going on?
When he is fired or retires I guess the D or VP will take over (or another MD will pick the low hanging fruit), but what if he goes to another bank? Does he take the deal with him?
Considering the business signs an EA, I doubt it'd even be legal for him to take it with him if he goes to another bank and it probably gets assigned to another senior banker
Happened on one of the deals I’m on.
MD brought in a deal, but leaving in two weeks or so. So another MD has also been covering the deal the past month so that even if the original MD leaves the client will still mandate our firm.
