What if - no return for this summer

About to join a Second-tier IB(Nomura/HSBC/RBC) this summer, however I am starting to worry about a lot of things so hope monkeys can help me clear up some thoughts.: 1. Start by providing my background, senior finance major of a HK uni, already deferred my graduation year by half a year, so 1 more semester to study after this SA 2. I wonder what should be my team preference. I want to go for product team, Lev Fin especially since a had a great echoing with the Director, but HR told me that product team have fewer hc than sector team. 3. If the worst case happens, do you think it will be a good decision if I apply to grad school rather than a MBA in, say Cornell or Northwestern, to increase my competitiveness(in HK/US/UK), or should I just apply for full time job. 4. My long-term goal, is to hack in GS’s IB team. I know a lot y’all have already done that so please don’t hesitate to give me your advices
