What level of modeling expected for interns?

Coming from a nontarget and frankly don't know much other than basic excel skills and the M&I 400. Some of the discourse seems like your expected to know 3-statement and DCF by the time you walk in the door, but I find that hard to believe.

What are you really expected to know and what would you focus on if you had 2 weeks before the start of the internship?

I would practice PowerPoint, especially how to align stuff. Maybe just 2 hours total ahead of your internship. Most interns are pretty useless and you’ll probably spend more time on team pages and logos than anything else at the start.

- Quick access Toolbar for aligning things left, right, center and top, middle, and bottom

- moving things to front and back

- Removing backgrounds of logos (alt J + P + I + S)

- crop pictures to shapes

- The little insert icons to find things like the clipboard, handshake, and chart

- how to make your bullets check marks and little Xs and change the colors

- how to add a shadow
