I am assuming you live in NYC. Before 401(k) I see about 1780.00 every 2 weeks.
Where are you from?
Edit
In Charlotte at 65k base a few years ago (before the market base salary hike last year), I was taking home about $1450 every 2 weeks (after 5% 401k contribution) - so I expect it would be a bit higher than that at 70k.
how much was taken off for insurance and metrocard?
Close friend was taking in $1650, but that was a little over a year ago and I've heard base has gone up.
close to 2k before with 0 % in 401k
~$1900 after med insurance and 0% 401k
