What % of students succesfully recruit as final years for London Summers

Will be rerecruiting regardless if I get return or not (unlikely, historically firm I'm at rarely takes interns let alone converts.) Profile is generally strong, managed to get 4 AC's, 1 at a BB for IBD, 1 for RX

How often do people rerecruit? Out of intern classes typially what % are final years?

Based on the most helpful WSO content, there isn't a specific percentage provided for how many final-year students successfully recruit for London summer internships. However, it is noted that re-recruiting is not uncommon, especially for those who do not receive return offers. Firms often have a mix of candidates, including final-year students, but the exact proportion varies by firm and year.

Additionally, some firms are known for low conversion rates, as highlighted in examples like Jefferies, where only 25% of interns received offers due to headcount limitations. This suggests that re-recruiting is a viable and frequent path for candidates in similar situations.

Cannot put a % on it as you need to look at individuals who a) did not convert, b) actively re-recruited as hard as possible. All of the individuals whom I know did both of these (heavy emphasis on b) made it back in.

Also worth mentioning, many people who do not convert go down other paths, e.g. MBB/leave finance completely.

My advice - keep your CV and Story sharp, and never give up on the applications. You will make it if you want it bad enough and you managed to get here.
