What should I learn this summer for junior SA recruiting?

I was asked by an MD recently at an IB that if he takes me on, he'd like me to let him know what I'd like to learn this summer. I was wondering if there was anything specific I should ask that will be crucial to helping me land a job next summer as an SA at a bigger name bank. Any ideas? I know modeling gets thrown around a lot, but I also heard almost none of the SA's know how to model coming in, so that doesn't really make a difference.

Thanks

Investment Banking Full Resume Review

“Susan was a huge help with my resume. She took the time to go through it line by line and gave me specific, honest feedback on what to change. She showed me how to make my bullet points more results-focused by leading with strong action verbs and quantifying my impact wherever possible. She also helped me tighten the formatting so it's cleaner and easier to scan, and made sure my most relevant experience stands out. My resume is much stronger because of her input, and I really appreciate her time and guidance.”

Investment Banking Mock Interview

“Julius is great. This was my first mock interview with him and definitely not the last. Before the session, he emailed me a clear plan of what we would cover: behaviorals like Why Citi and Why IB, sector trends and recent deals, classic technicals across accounting, DCF, comps, LBOs and accretion/dilution, and conceptual questions to test whether I actually understood the material rather than just memorizing answers. That structure made my preparation much more focused. During the mock, he pushed past the standard answers to check my understanding, which showed me exactly where I need to go deeper. He is very responsive over email, knowledgeable about the recruiting process, and clearly invested in helping me improve. I have been learning a lot from him and plan to book more sessions.”
