What's in an Offer Letter

Can any previous SA's detail what's in a bank offer letter. I'm waiting on mine currently but want to get started getting necessary documents since I'm abroad and it will take longer. But I don't know what they usually want or ask for.

It's for a Sophomore position if that changes anything.

from my experience, i've also been asked to send a copy of my passport id, fill out a transcript request, and take a drug test

i assume this also depends on the firm though

you should expect the following:

the offer letter will give you a compensation rate, start date, and end date of your internship. it will also specify the details about your drug screening, and may have lots of other company specific forms for you to sign.

for example i had to submit a direct deposit form and then sign a bunch of documents which were supposed to be after i reviewed their corporate ethics manual and other stuff like that. there was a fair disclosure form where i had to specify my ethnicity, etc.

i also had to fill out documents such as "in case of emergency please call" and a form that gave info on my prior schooling, addresses, and personal information.

there will be a deadline, and you must sign and return your offer by that date. you may have to fax a copy to the bank the day you sign, and i would highly recommend using FedEx to return the signed offer letter to the bank.

Mine had many different things...employee handbook, marketing shit, contract which had my work place, my title, salary and etc. came in a booklet of crap

LondonE1my bank uses a Big4 accounting firm to process U.K. visas. accountants are bankers' biiiiiiatches

Haha!

Division, length, compensation, some legal stuff and some background check, that’s it, I found it pretty minimalistic.
