Assuming you see yourself/want to work in the industry you like, it is better to gain experience in that industry. Once you gain experience and prove yourself, you can move to a better bank. People go into top industry groups to gain experience and/or exit opps, but what is the point of exit opps when you don't want to do any of the options?
