What’s the deal with WF Charlotte?

I’m hearing a bunch of things about how the IB program down in Charlotte consists of IB, CB, Structured products, and public finance. How likely are you to get screwed over and not get into a typical coverage and product group during placements?

My understanding is groups like CB/Structured Products/LevFin you directly applied to those positions.
Same with IB, you applied directly to that and then get your coverage groups, it’s not like you apply IB and end up in ABS/SBL.

I’m in LevFin (Ignore title) and I applied directly to my position/product groups. I’ll receive my coverage group during training that I will be supporting

Most likely not for most products. My bank you apply directly for those positions whether it’s LevFin/DCM/ECM/Credit/Syndications/ABL.

Wells Fargo may be different but since you are generalist, you’ll most likely be IB coverage. Someone else may be able to speak specifically to Wells Fargo, but that is my understanding.
