When did you stop worrying about money?

Trying to get thoughts on when I should stop worrying about spending money. Currently interning and making 90k prorated+ ot. I come from an upper middle class family but was raised to be conscious of money. I feel like living in NYC, whenever you step out your door you have to spend money and I am not used to that. I am spending ~3400 (1700 rent and 1700 on food/going out/ entertainment). How much do people spend on Rent/Wants/Needs/Random in a month? How much do you save?
