When to contact HR
I interviewed late last week with a BB for FT analyst role beginning in July. I have already met with 9 people at the bank, and after my interview I was told that I would hear back "shortly". It has now been 5 days with no contact, aside from replies to thank you notes I sent out. Got good feedback from a few people I know within the bank. My questions are: 1) Do you think I got dinged without any response from HR? 2) When should I reach out to HR for a quick "status update"?
HR will definitely tell you if they ding you when you are this far int he process. I suggest waiting another week before contacting them.
Yeah typically if they told you "shortly" and you still haven't heard back, its most likely a ding.
