When to Leave Office as Intern
I'm at a bank without facetime culture, but recently a fellow intern made a remark about me being LIFO (which is just not true) around the full-timers. Struck me the wrong way since I don't even know this guy and it felt in bad faith, but regardless, I was wondering when is an acceptable time to leave the office as an intern?
So far, I've just been doing at the earliest 8:30 and median around 11 PM most days, making sure I've finished all my tasks and making a round with my current staffing to see if anything needs to be done. For context, most full-time people are gone by 6/7 and work from home. A few interns stay super late for the sake of staying late, but I kinda wanted to hear from an anonymous channel when is it acceptable/encouraged to leave?
you're good - other intern sounds like a loser
No one has the time or the energy to track exactly when you're coming in and coming out. As long as you're coming in/leaving around the same time as other interns you'll be fine.
couldn't have said it any better
