When to Network for IB FT Recruiting?

Hi -

I am a class of '25 student at HYWPS that just went through the recruiting process and landed an IB offer for 2024. I kind of messed up my recruiting (was not prepared enough + nondiverse) and I am going to do IB at a firm like Jefferies/Houlihan/Wells next summer. While I really feel grateful, I think I can do better and I want to recruit for EB/GS/MS/JPM full-time next year.

My question is about the timeline I should start reaching out and start networking. Since the first-year and second-year analysts that I networked with are all going to be on the buy side by August next summer, I have to reach out to new people and I don't know if now (the summer before junior internship) is the best time to start it or not.

I would appreciate any insights on networking + recruiting FT. Thanks.
