When you join a bank, do you have to sell stock holdings?
Title is fairly clear, but was curious about whether one has to sell off his/her individual stock holdings (not etfs, mutual funds, etc) when they join a bank.

You’ll have trade restrictions but usually won’t need to sell existing holdings - just be warned you’ll need clearance to sell once you start, so make sure your comfortable holding anything that you come into the bank owning

Only exception is if you own your holdings in Robinhood or some other fringe brokerage, you will need to sell and move into an approved brokerage (Fidelity, Schwab, TD are all usually safe)
