When/how to reveal your true career goals?

So I ended up getting an internship at a BB. The problem is, it's not trading and I only took it because I couldn't get into trading. I have been dropping subtle hints but my mid-summer performance review is Friday and I am wondering if I should be more direct in terms of asking for more trading related projects/telling them straight up trading is what I want to do. My bosses are good guys who I'm sure would help me, but I don't want to create bad blood without even an offer to leverage.

What should I do this Friday?

keep it subtle until your last week. on friday, maybe mention that the projects that somewhat connect to the markets have been your favorite.
