Where do you expect 1st associate salalries/bonuses to be in 2011
I'll be done with my MBA in 2011. In looking at various sources, it sounds like the current salaries are down about 50% from what they were in 2007...and of course bonuses are down as well. Just curious if anyone can comment on what the trend has been in associate salaries in the last yr or so and if the experts here who have a pulse on this topic can chime in on where you think they will be next yr.
Not sure what you're talking about, Salaries have been UP UP UP for the last 5 years... even in the downturn. ... unless you're referring to ALL-IN COMP (Salary+Bonus).
Salaries have NOT dropped 50%.
Bonuses? Certainly.
Please list these various "sources" you've been "looking at".
How can you take a base salary of $90,000-$100,000 for an associate and cut it in half? =\
Harvard MBA, 1st year at Morgan Stanley pulling in $45,000? doubt it
