Where to apply for transfer?

Hey ya'll, community college student applying for transfer schools. As I'm filling out all of these target/semi-target applications, I'm wondering if it's all worth it. If I want to stay in Chicago, is it worth applying to UVA/Cornell/Georgetown/etc.? Do their brand names outweigh regional schools like DePaul or Wash St. Louis/UIUC (if I get in)? pls advise.

Very solid. At my firm(NYC) the only public schools represented at the junior level are UVA, Michigan, and UNC. Other publics are not the end of the world; we have a couple of MDs from places I literally had not heard of before googling them.

no, this is why I specified NYC.

we have quite a few kids from UCB Haas in one of our west coast offices, not really sure about ucla.
