Where to find current year executive compensation targets for a public company?

Maybe this is a dumb question, but I am trying to find current executive compensation targets for the management team of a public company. In their proxy, I see what the targets were for the prior fiscal year and whether they achieved them, but I am trying to see what the targets are for this upcoming year and cannot find it. Is that because companies will not publish this information ahead of time so as not to give away what they are focusing on?
