Which banks would you take over Lazard in London?

Hello guys- currently holding an offer from Lazard for a summer internship in London.

I've got the opportunity to apply elsewhere for the year after. Out of all the EBs, Laz/Evercore are my favourite so I'm happy with Laz in this regard.

But in terms of BBs, I was wondering how people thought Lazard stacked up against GS/MS/JPM/BAML in London in terms of PE recruiting, and potential for a long-term career in banking? I perceive Lazard as being on par with JPM but GS and MS potentially giving more options?

Cheers.

None, they have a fantastic culture in London and fantastic exits.

GS/MS/JPM are roughly on par, only difference is more exits gross rather than per capita.

Talking about the people more than the hours.

And absolutely the exits, just check LinkedIn.

Consider applying to GS / MS / JPM

If you receive offers from one of these in addition to Lazard I would choose on the basis of culture / fit rather than exits.

It's not just Lazard that has a sweatshop reputation. Certain teams in MS and JPM are just the same.

I would also consider conversion rates. Historically, MS London converts a higher % of its SA class than Lazard.
