Which internship is best?
I have 2 internships lined up but I'm not sure which would look the best for IB or s&t. They are for the same company (Fortune 500). also, Im only a freshman in college. (will be sophomore in the fall)
One is in the finance dept and has to do with external reporting (preparing financial statements etc.)
Another possibility is in the treasury dept. (not too sure what this means, hoping someone on WSO could clarify)
Are these worth it? If not what should I be pursuing? Thanks
depends what your doing at each, your things are too broad to find out. The best thing to do for IB is banking or IB, but your two things are interesting. Probably would go with the treasury department, but again depends what you are doing.
Just did a spring internship at a fortune 100 company, from my experience there, treasury would the closest to i-banking...
i would say the external reporting
learning the basics of financial reports/ financial accounting is a critical skill in Ibanking
