Which internship should I (freshman) accept to best position myself for a junior year SA offer?

I am currently a freshman debating between two internship offers. My hopes are for a junior year BB IB SA offer.

My first offer is at a boutique wealth management firm and would be unpaid. This internship is confirmed remote due to COVID-19, but will definitely happen. The hours here are around 20 hours per week. I would be doing some stock analysis among other things.

The second offer is a marketing intern program at a regional company not at all related to the finance industry. The pay here is $5,000 per month from May to August. It is currently supposed to be in person, but they don't know what exactly could happen. The hours would be about 50 per week. They said I could even get a performance bonus, but thats not really something I'm concerned with, although the way that sounds makes me fear that I may be cold calling especially since they mentioned "relationship building."

Both are actual programs and I got them through applying and not networking. I am leaning toward the wealth management program, because I feel like that would be better on my resume for IB. I go to a semi target and have been networking.

I wouldn't stress too much since you're only a freshman. If you need the money go with the second one. VERY few internships outside of finance, consulting, and tech pay 5k a month - honestly seems absurd for a freshman internship. However, if your main focus is on IB then go with the first one.
