If the finance world is generally a zero-sum game...who is winning as a result of the rapid decay we have seen over the past year?
I am far from an expert as you can see, and its clear that greater minds than mine are very perplexed, but I still cannot get my mind wrapped around this question...
If there are so many losers right now, who is winning?

Holders of short-term US Treasuries or Treasury Notes or Bonds with maturity dates coming up. Think duration/convexity. Yields went negative at one point last week.

I'd say that's about right. Restructuring advisory shops will see/are seeing plenty of action. Bear markets like this need cleanup crews.
Some may be winning, but probably a lot more are losing than winning thanks to systematic risk.
