I will be a part of a SA program in sales and trading next summer, and one of my desk options is a "Distressed Debt and Restructuring" desk. I want to pick that as one of my rotations because of the modeling skills I would get but what would this desk do if it wasn't advisory (technically in IB). Is it just fundraising and structuring or something else?
